Brunello di Montalcino

"The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is a gorgeous Brunello endowed with notable clarity and depth in its red fruit, licorice, tobacco and herbs. The wine possesses quite a bit of density in this vintage along with plenty of stuffing to match the tannins. High-toned flowers and subtle herbs linger on the delicate finish. This is one of only a handful of 2005 Brunellos that has the potential to develop positively over the coming years. I have tasted the 2005 on multiple occasions recently, and it continues to come together beautifully. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2025.
